These shots at Wyandotte County Lake (Kansas City, Kansas) were taken about a month ago during or close to the peak of color this autumn. It stayed relatively warm, that is, mid 50s or mid 60s, up until about a week ago. We didn't have our first frost until last weekend, which is a few weeks later than usual. El Nino is supposed to make the winter in northeastern Kansas a bit warmer this year.
